Wellness Tips
- Get at least eight hours of sleep every night.
- Try to exercise for at least 20 minutes each day.
- Eat three healthy meals each day. Avoid snacks with a lot of sugar. Keep healthy snacks like fruit, pretzels and carrots handy.
- Avoid stimulants like caffeine, nasal decongestants or diet pills. Avoiding stimulants will help you sleep better and actually give you more energy.
- Limit alcoholic beverages and other narcotics or sedatives.
- Find ways to manage your stress. Try different methods until you find something that works for you.
- Take all your medications as prescribed. Always check with your physician before changing or stopping your medications — even if you are feeling better.
- Avoid all forms of recreational drugs.
- Spend time with the people you enjoy being around. Make time to relax.
- Keep all appointments with your health care providers.
