This agency will work with your mortgage company to arrange a plan for you to catch up on missed payments. Housing counselors will discuss all options available to you to avoid foreclosure. This agency does not make loans or buy property.

This agency provides helpful information about child care assistance in your local area. They will help you explore all options for child care assistance programs.

Homeowner Preservation Foundation

This foundation offers free telephone counseling for those facing foreclosure. Although the foundation primarily works on foreclosures, counselors can connect you to free services if you have other financial concerns, such as credit card debt.

Tax Relief Hotline

This national agency works directly with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) on behalf of those who generally owe more than $10,000 in back taxes. Services include help in developing payment plans, innocent spouse relief and relief from garnishment. Consultations are free.
